Abstract

In this research, some micronutrient elements and heavy metals (Al, Cd, Co, Cr, Na, Ni, Pb and Se) in the grains of totally 41 common bean genotypes consisted from; 37 common bean genotypes where they collected from Konya city and 4 commercial varieties that widely grown in Turkey were subjected to mineral analyze and all the genotypes were evaluated in terms of these properties. Chemical analyzes were made with two replications according to the “Randomized Plot” design in all the collected genotypes (Başarakavak-Horoz, Başarakavak-Sarıkız, Başarakavak-Kanada, Çumra-Şeker (Bıyıklı), Çumra-Kırgız Çalısı, Çumra-Horoz, Çumra-Beyşehir Çalısı, Çumra-Bombay, Çumra-Kanada, Altınekin-Amerikan Kollu, Altınekin-Sarnıç, Altınekin-Amerikan Çalısı, Altınekin-Gina, Ereğli-Dermason, Ereğli-Horoz, Kadınhanı-Weihing, Kadınhanı-Kanada, Kadınhanı-Akman 98, Derbent-Amerikan (Beretta), Derbent-Şeker, Beyşehir-Horoz, Seydişehir-Sıra, Ilgın-Beyaz Horoz, Sarayönü-Kanada, Yunak-Üveynk, Yunak-Kanada, Çumra-Kırgız Yuvarlak, Derbent-Yuvarlak Barbunya, Akşehir-Dermason, Akşehir-Ayşekadın/1, Akşehir-Horoz, Akşehir-Dermason (Oturak), Kazım Karabekir-Kanada, Kazım Karabekir-Dermason (Kırgız), Akman-98cl, Eskişehir-855cl, Elkoca-2005cl, Kantar-2005cl, Çumra-Amerikan Çalısı, Derbent-Horoz, Akşehir-Ayşekadın/2; cl: Certified line). According to the results, there were not statistically differences among the genotypes in terms of the elements. The values (ppm) of the elements were ranged as following: Al 0,00-10,99; Cd 0,00-0,28; Co 0,00-2,44; Cr 0,21-19,98; Na 74,19-2147,78; Ni 0,7-12,7; Pb 0,0-0,6; Se 0,00-2,83 respectively. Nevertheless, the values of the elements showed important correlations. There were negative correlations among Se and all of the other elements. According to the correlation analysis, all the genotypes showed significant and positive correlations which were existed between Na and Co (r=0.6272**), Na and Cr (r=0.4914**), Ni and Co (r=0.5560**), Ni and Cr (r=0.6275**), Ni and Na (r=0.6969**), Pb and Al (r=0.4362**), Cr and Co (r=0.3613*), Na and Al (r=0.3679*), Pb and Co (r=0.3186*), and significant negative correlations existed between Se and Na (r= -0.4160**), Se and Co (r= -0.3461*) while non-significant correlations were found between the other elements (*: P<0,05; **: P<0,01).
