Analysis Of The Banking Challenges In The Business Environment Using Dematel Technique

Abstract

Purpose of this study is providing a quantitative analysis of the current banking challenges in the business environment. This research is a practical study and uses a descriptive method. Having studied papers about challenges and problems in banking and done conceptual analysis, 60 factors as impediments were determined. These elements were categorized in 4 groups: governmental, technical-structural, environmental and human resource factors. Considering the elements and their belonging factors, a conceptual model of the research was designed. To verify the factors in Iran, a questionnaire was arranged and subsequently confirmed by banking experts. Therefore, to organize the factors and their interactive relations, DEMATEL approach was used and the relations were defined as numbers. At the end, taking DEMATEL approach into account, environmental factors were determined as the most impressive.
