RESEARCH ON GROWING POSSIBILITIES OF NARBONNE VETCH (Vicia narbonensis L.) AND PERSIAN CLOVER (Trifolium resupinatum L.) IN NO-TILL SYTEM UNDER KONYA ECOLOJICAL REGION
Abstract
This research has been conducted to determine the growing possibilities of Persian clover (Trifolium resupinatum L.) and Narbonne vetch (Vicia narbonensis L.) by no-till as a second crop on the research and applied station of agricultural faculty of Selçuk University.
This research which was carried out on the irrigated conditions was arranged in a "random block" experimental design with four replication and persian clovers (Trifolium resupinatum L. (Demet-82)) and narbonne vetch (Vicia narbonensis L.) forage legume species were used. In these species, 6 characteristics have been observed as the research subject (plant height, green yield, hay yield, dry matter yield, crude protein ratio and crude protein yield).
It has been observed among the species of forage legumes that the highest value was given by the plots of Persian clover (Trifolium resupinatum L.) with respect to green yield, hay yield, dry matter yield, crude protein ratio and crude protein yield (2208.0 kg/da, 403.0 kg/da, 392.9 kg/da,%19.9, 75,0 kg/da respectively ) while the highest value (48.8 cm) for plant height was given by the plots of Narbonne vetch (Vicia narbonensis L.).
