Abstract

Abstract

The treatment and reuse of sewage sludge is a huge, complex and grooving up problem for waste management. In generally, this kind of wastes disposal by land filling, composting or energy source.  A new quality standards for sewage treatment works are generated pressure on industry a public authorities for usability of sewage sludge as an alternative energy source. So incineration or gasification system became more important in sewage treatment. In this study, energy recovery potential of municipal waste and agricultural waste are investigated sewage sludge as a municipal waste and hazelnut shell as an agricultural waste are used for different rate of mixtures. The analyses of mixtures for all the samples (C, N, H, O, S), higher heating values and heavy metals values are determined. Results of waste mixtures show that, they had effective fuel potential values and can be used as an alternative energy source.
