The Transfer of Gold Production by Cyanidation Method from Developed Countries to Developing Countries: An Evaluation of Bergama-Ovacık Sample from an Administrative and Legal Perspective
Abstract
In about %85 of gold production, cyanide is used throughout the world. Some legal limitations are put forward during the production phase as gold production with cyanide damages environment and from 1980s, the place of production started to move from developed soils to developing soils. Turkey soils are also become a part of this phase. Especially, lawlessness process happened in Bergama-Ovacık area, producers who do not give up producing gold with cyanide, and despite the changes of government, there is no change in the policy of this situation and the realities that occurred behind this study build up the main frame of this study. Within this scope, in this study, soil pollution in environmental pollution, gold production, state of stocks and methods, the effect of gold production with cyanide and the process in the world, lawlessness process in Bergama-Ovacık area and the progress in Turkey and lastly an answer will be searched why Turkish soils are chosen.
