Three Remarkable Moss Records from Inner Anatolian

Abstract


In this study, Pleurochaete malacophylla (Müll.Hal.) Broth., Orthotrichum obtusifolium Brid. andBryum violaceum Crundw. & Nyholmwere recorded for the second time in Turkey after a long time from the first recording time. The species collected from Melendiz Mountain which is located in the northwest area of Niğde province and is the most widely distributed of the inner Anatolian volcanic unit, in 2011. Among them, P.malacophylla was first recorded from around Denizli-Pamukkale which located C11 square in 1972. O.obtusifolium was first recorded from around Erzurum which located A4 square and B.violaceum from around Van which located B10 square in 1974. These species were identified using relevant literatures and their significant characters were photographed by imaging system (Olympus DP25).Illustrations of the species were given along with their descriptions, ecology and distribution.
