E-Exam Application by Particle Swarm Optimization Method

Abstract


The measurement and evaluation procedures which are from the basic components of education process can be made on internet media with the improvement of distance learning with web base systems. In this thesis, e-learning, the benefits of e-learning, e-examination, evaluation and measurement processes have been examined and web-based test system has been developed using particle swarm algorithm in the application part. The aim of thesis working is developing a modular exam system with web base that can be alone or an edition, with high level of economic application, developing a system that can make an effective and suitable contribution to the education target measurement and evaluation, improving a system that responds expected Standard properties. The system   has been developed in Visual Studio.NET media which puts forward functional    medium, is used in professional applications. SQL Server 2012, which is frequently used nowadays, has been used as a database. The system has two departments; one of them is for the manager of system and the other one is for the students. After users log into the system, they make course selection and begin placement exam. After the placement exam, levels are determined according to their score. Then they begin trial exam. Trial exam questions appropriateness of their levels. Furthermore the system administrator can add questions to the database and be able to see the status of the students
