Relationship Between Communication Technologies With Social Adjustment and Interpersonal Relationships of High School Students in Gonaveh

Abstract


Upbringing is a continuous process that is formed in the society. Indeed, basic dimensions of personal identity are formed by interaction with others and through group relationships. Thus, social upbringing is one of the basic dimensions and abstracts of upbringing. The present study intended to consider the relationship between the amount of using new communication technologies (mobile phone and internet) with social adjustment and interpersonal relationships of high school students. Statistical population included all first- second and third level of female high school students of Genaveh city which was 1030 person. Among them 280 person were chosen as sample size. Multi-stage random sampling was used. To consider the relationship, high school communication technology questionnaire, researcher -made communication technology questionnaire and interpersonal relationships questionnaire of Bar on-R et.al were used and collected data were considered by correlation coefficient, regression analysis and ANOVA. Obtained results indicated that there is a significant relationship between using communication technologies and social adjustment and interpersonal relationships of high school students. According to this study, internet and mobile phone components were more anticipants of significance with social adjustment than radio and TV. Mobile phone component had the most relationship with personal relationships, while radio and TV had the less relationship with improvement of interpersonal relationships.
