Abstract

The study was conducted in facilities and student dormitories. In this study, the internal and external environmental noise exposure as a result of people's peace and tranquility of the physical and mental health deteriorate the necessary measures to ensure receipt and noise exposure levels, prepared noise maps were determined. Located in central Istanbul Aksaray as interior ambient noise measurements were made in the Girls' Dormitory. Dormitory, the most important on the way to the center of the city due to the presence of noise pollution is one of the most affected settlements. Also in the building as a canteen and cafeteria environments thus disturbing noise levels are available. If the external environment of a given facility's environmental noise are discussed. Plants living in the vicinity of the noise exposure levels causing harmful effects on human health, as it could be necessary to protect the quality of noise where noise prevention and mitigation studies to be carried are determined. Noise map creation studies, A total of 40 different points on 7 floors dormitory and on each floor separately at 5 minute intervals for 24 hours measurements were made. While the overall average noise level of 63 dB, cafeteria, canteen, study and internet lounge is located on the 7th floor and 75 dB were measured. Facilities for measuring a total of 5 minutes at 5 points measurements were carried out with the device noise SVAN Type 1. Measurement results are transferred to a computer and the measurement results in each frequency band noise sources identified and separated and noise pollution on the results obtained from created maps, in effect,'' Environmental Noise Assessment and Management Regulations”, were compared with the values specified in this regulations, pollution prevention measures that can be taken to have been investigated.
