Abstract

In this study Rifafix Orange 2RN ( C.I. Reactive Orange 127) A1(Ultrasound-Fenton) A2 (Classic-Fenton), from synthetic textile wastewater and polyvinyl alcohol by Fenton and sono-Fenton processes waste samples toxicities were investigated. In order to determine toxicities of waste samples L. Sativum toxicity tests were employed. In this context toxicity tests were carried out in the eluate. Physical and chemical caracteristics of wastes samples were also determined and relation between physical and chemical parameters of the samples with toxicity results were evaluated. Reference tests were carried out with K2Cr2O7 to check the test procedures prier to the analyses with samples. Sample toxicity results were reported as Toxic Units (TU) and sensitivities of test for each type of samples were determined. As a result %100 concentrated samples maximum inhibition was only  % 27,6 for hypokotyl length therefore TU was determined as “0” (not toxic).  For root lenght  maximum inhibition was % 49,8 and TU was determined as the range between 0<TU<1 (slightly toxic) only for A2 sample.
