The Synthesis and Characterization of s-Triazine-Based 8-Hydroxyquinoline Ligand and Its Salen/Salophen-Bridged Fe/Cr(III) Capped Complexes

Abstract


we aim to study magnetic and thermal behaviors of some s-triazine cored great molecular complexes. In this context, tripodal ligand was synthesized by reacting s-triazine with 5-aminomethyl-8-hydroxyquinoline. The obtained novel macromoleculer structure was then reacted with four Fe(III) and Cr (III) complexes including tetradenta Schiff bases N,N'-bis(salicylidene)ethylenediamine: (SalenH2) or bis(saliclidene)-0-phenylenediamine: (salophH2). Later, Ligand and complexes were charracterized by means of elemental analysis,, infrared spectroscopy, 1H NMR, thermal analyses and magnetic susceptibility measurements.
