Endemic plants of region among Urgup, Derinkuyu and Hodul Mountain (Nevsehir/Turkey)

Abstract


As a result of floristic investigation of the flora of the region among Ürgüp, Derinkuyu and Hodul Mountain (Nevşehir). within Nevşehir city borders carried out between 2008 and 2010, 603 taxa that belong to 76 families and 329 genera have been determined. A total of 89 taxa is recorded in the research area (16.24%) are endemic for Turkey, within the endemic flora, the largest families are Leguminosae (17), Labiatae (11) and Compositae (10) in terms of the number of taxa included. for all the endemic taxa, IUCN (2001) threatened category and phytogeographic regions was determined As a result of this, The types of threat categories of these taxa are as follows: 1 taxon endangered, 5 taxa vulnerable, 10 taxa near threatened and 73 taxa least concern.
